Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a dependable Scaffold Carpenter in Memphis, TN to assist with the safe erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffold systems on industrial construction projects.

The role involves reading scaffold drawings, assembling components, following safety protocols, and coordinating with the Scaffold Leadman and crew. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds, travel to job sites, and a strong work ethic focused on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience as Scaffold Carpenter or Scaffold Builder preferred.
• Ability to read scaffold drawings, blueprints, and work specifications.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools used in scaffold construction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights, in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Scaffold Leadman in erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
• Assemble scaffold components including frames, tubes, clamps, braces, platforms, guardrails, and access systems.
• Read and follow scaffold drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect scaffold materials before use and report damaged equipment.
• Load, unload, organize, and transport scaffold materials to and from work areas.
• Maintain safety and OSHA compliance on all scaffold projects.
