Job summary

Zachry Group in Texas is seeking Industrial Scaffold Builders to assist with the construction, dismantling and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and related structures. You will identify tools, measure materials, and support scaffold erection and maintenance on diverse projects.

Applicants should have NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, possess strong physical stamina, and commit to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements.
• Must be willing to assist other crafts when not actively scaffolding.
• Must be able to follow all safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.

• Measure, mark, and cut wooden/metal materials to specification.
• Assist with construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Assist with building and construction of wooden scaffolds and ancillary items.
• Contribute to other small construction tasks such as decks, steps, bulletin boards.

Job Description

Industrial Scaffold Builders will assist with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures related to scaffold.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.


• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.


• Measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.


• Assist with the construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed Scaffolds.


• Assist with the building and construction of wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.


• Work on miscellaneous construction projects such as but not limited to building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures.


• Clean-up work areas.

Qualifications

• Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below).


• Must be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on Scaffolding.


• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.


• Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations.


• Must have all required tools.


• Must have reliable transportation.


• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’d employee.


• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.


• National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.


• Formal/Technical education.


• Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.
