Job summary

Marathon Pipe Line LLC seeks a Pipeline Controller in Findlay, Ohio to monitor and control pipeline systems from a centralized Operations Center. The role involves a rotating 2-2-3 schedule across day and night shifts with comprehensive training before remotely monitoring select systems.

You will work with field operations, follow procedures for start-ups, shutdowns, and flow changes, and respond to alarms using SCADA. A 60-minute commute within the assigned center is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (must be completed by hire) or High School Diploma/GED with five years Marathon experience.
• No experience required.
• Basic PC skills are required.
• Must pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Effectively navigates the SCADA operating system to monitor and control pipeline systems.
• Follows procedures to safely start up, shut down, adjust flow, and change products during normal operations.
• Communicates with field operations and 3rd party control rooms when affected by changes or while investigating alarms.
• Maintains pipeline systems on schedule to ensure on-time delivery of customer product.
• Recognizes and responds to abnormal operating conditions.
• Uses training and procedures to analyze data and direct personnel.
• Pursues knowledge of operated systems and surrounding processes; suggests improvements.
• Very minimal travel required.
