Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT systems across our gas, solar, and wind assets. You will design and maintain Ignition SCADA, configure gateways, alarms, historian, and integration, ensuring reliable data flows for operations.

The role requires 3–6 years of experience with Ignition and AVEA PI, plus familiarity with RTUs, PI historians, OPC/Modbus. Strong analytics, Python scripting, and independent collaboration with IT and operations are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years of experience; applicable years may substitute for degree.
• Expert level proficiency in Inductive Automation Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Experience with Renewable and Gas power systems.
• Familiarity with OT equipment such as SCADA systems, RTU’s, PI data historians, SEL-RTAC, DNP, OPC, Modbus protocols, etc.
• Ignition certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with scripting languages; Python preferred.
• Knowledge of power plant components/operations and renewable projects.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking; self-starter and capable of independent action.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System: Gateways, screens, alarms, historian, and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment including servers and point configurations; keep systems updated.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics and visualization of OT data.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, PLCs, data loggers) and SCADA.
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center, corporate servers, and OEM SCADA/OPC systems.
• Coordinate with IT as primary contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and integration with AI initiatives.

THE CHALLENGE

Fueled by growth of the company, the SCADA Engineer serves as a technical resource, focusing on support of Operational Technology (OT) equipment and data flow from Company’s operating fleet of gas, solar and wind assets. This position helps Site Managers maintain their assets and works with engineering and operations teams to deliver reliability in all aspects of control and data systems. Provides support for various technical analyses, evaluation of emergent technology, and generally assists company’s operational and financial objectives.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA System, (Gateways, new Screens, create alarms, historian and integration).
• Manage OT SCADA equipment, including servers and point configurations within the device(s) and ensure systems are up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective, facilitating advanced analytics and visualization of Operational Data.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment – i.e., controls systems, Remote Intelligence Gateways (RIG), RTU’s, Campbell Scientific data loggers, etc.
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center, corporate data servers and OEM SCADA, RTU, OPC Servers, etc.
• Coordinate with IT (internal and 3rd party) as primary point of contact for plant operations.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance and support to ensure all assets are in compliance
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and support internal AI Initiatives.

• Experienced with scripting languages, Python preferred.
• Knowledge of basic components/operations of power plants, with firsthand experience on renewable projects.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capability.
• Self-starter with the ability to make decisions and take necessary actions without specific direction.
• Effective time management and organizational skill; keen multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Valid U.S. Driver license with acceptable MVR history.
