Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a security professional to provide a visible security and safety presence across the assigned Lowe’s supply chain location. You will validate building security, engage drivers under CTPAT, and perform regular audits using handheld devices.

The role requires de-escalation skills, prompt incident response, and collaboration with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies. Prior retail/security experience and valid licenses are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1-2 years in retail, security, first-responder, or military experience.
• 1-2 years in big-box retail, security, or military experience.
• Driver's License required.
• Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and proactive physical security and safety presence at the assigned supply chain location.
• Validate physical security of the building throughout the day (gates, doors, access control, perimeter).
• Engage with over-the-road and dedicated fleet drivers in compliance with CTPAT.
• Perform regular safety and physical security audits using handheld devices.
• Patrol interior and exterior premises to identify security concerns, on foot or in a company vehicle.
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors using professional techniques.
• Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, and emergencies (medical, fire alarms).
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies and procedures.
• Report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches to leadership.
• Use case management system to file detailed incident reports with accurate descriptions.
• Monitor with CCTV to detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings for updates and changes.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses as required by Lowe’s.
• Participate in court hearings if applicable and liaise with local law enforcement.

• Validates physical security of the building, per company policy/procedure, throughout the day (Gates, Doors, Access Control, Perimeter)
• Engagement with over-the-road and dedicated fleet drivers including inbound & outbound processes in compliance with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)
• Perform regular safety and physical security audits to ensure proper execution using hand-held mobile devices.
• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior premises to identify potential security concerns both on foot and by using a company-owned vehicle.
• De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors, using professional techniques.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, such as medical situations or fire alarms.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership and associates to enforce policies and procedures.

• 1-2 Years Experience conducting quality reviews/audits
• 1-2 Years Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
• First-Aid Certification
• De-Escalation/Crisis Intervention
