Job summary

Arthrex is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer Planner to ensure materials and supplies are available to support production and operations. You will manage MRP output, place & maintain POs, and monitor forecasts vs actual demand while collaborating with suppliers, engineering, quality, and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, ERP experience (SAP), and a fast-paced environment where inventory availability and supplier performance are critical.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant business experience or Supply Chain Management degree or Co-Op/Internship
• Purchasing/Manufacturing/MRP experience preferred
• Knowledge of materials management, regulations, procedures and cost analysis

Responsibilities

• Review MRP outputs daily to ensure all required actions are taken – planned orders, expedites, de-expedites, cancels, etc.
• Limit backorders of all assigned parts while communicating backorder information to internal departments.
• Maintains and reviews Forecast vs. Actual sales for assigned products.
• Attend weekly conference calls with key suppliers.
• Distributes Engineering Change Requests to the suppliers and reviews disposition of existing and in-process inventory.
• Discusses defective goods with inspection or quality control personnel, suppliers and others to determine the action required.
• Responsible for all PO receipts of non-inventoried goods, invoice approval, MRO and credit card purchases.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Buyer Planner who will play a critical role in ensuring materials and supplies are available to support production and business operations. This position is responsible for managing MRP output, placing and maintaining purchase orders, minimizing back orders, monitoring forecasts versus actual demand, and collaborating closely with suppliers, engineering, quality, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or forecasting environments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems such as SAP.
