Job summary

Truist in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior leader to manage a team of SBDS Asset Managers focused on maximizing returns from criticized and classified small business loans. You will guide repayment and resolution strategies, supervise risk ratings and asset values, and co-approve key credit actions for complex commercial relationships.

Extensive banking experience, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential to drive the bank's credit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or banking or comparable education and related training.
• A minimum of 10 years commercial banking or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of loan workout or problem loan resolution experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of management experience.
• Superior negotiation, communication, interpersonal, financial analysis and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Responsibilities

• Assign and manage the workload of SBDS Asset Managers on the team to ensure a balanced portfolio.
• Provide leadership and coaching to SBDS Asset Managers in identification and implementation of repayment and resolution strategies for criticized loans.
• Co-approve credit requests, non-accruals, and charge-offs within authority levels.
• Develop risk management culture through leadership, coaching, feedback, and alignment with the bank's credit culture.
• Assist Asset Managers with complex credit analysis and negotiations to mitigate losses in commercial lending relationships.
• Evaluate personnel for employment, training, performance, salary, promotions, transfers, and staffing.
• Provide monthly forecasting certification for non-performing assets, losses, and OREO transfers.
• Ensure direct reports collaborate with other Business Lending Units to mitigate risk and address issues.
