Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking an SBA Eligibility Review Officer III to review SBA and USDA guaranteed loans, ensuring proper structure and closing in line with eligibility requirements.

You will serve as a subject matter expert across servicing procedures and partner with sales, underwriting, and closing teams in multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of HNB SBA/USDA lending/due diligence experience or 7 years of direct SBA/USDA lending/due diligence experience.
• Knowledge of SBA/USDA loan programs and SOP.
• Ability to document and communicate eligibility clearly and close in accordance with SBA SOP.
• Excellent PC skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Review SBA/USDA guaranteed loans to ensure structure and closing meet eligibility requirements.
• Act as SME in SBA Servicing and consult with sales, underwriting, and closing teams.
• Maintain an individual work pipeline for loans up to $5 million.
• Assess borrower/guarantor eligibility and ensure SBA guarantee enforceability.
• Prepare SBA Loan Authorization and related forms; verify compliance with SBA/USDA requirements.
• Review reports and documents to confirm terms and conditions of credit approval.
• Assist with training and mentoring new hires and support for SBA ERO levels 1 and 2.
• Provide support for commercial loan servicing and accounting reporting.

SBA Eligibility Review Officer III### SBA Eligibility Review Officer IIIApply: Office: Columbus, OH: Chicago, IL: Detroit, MI: Dallas, TX: Toledo, OH: Full time: Posted Today: R0077418# **Description****Summary:**The SBA Eligibility Review Officer III is responsible for reviewing SBA & USDA guaranteed business loans to determine proper structure and ensure loan closes in accordance with SBA & USDA eligibility requirements.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Serves as the subject matter expert in SBA Servicing procedures and acts as a consultant on government guaranteed loan programs to sales, underwriting, and closing colleagues throughout the HNB markets.* Maintains an individual pipeline of work, with loans typically of advanced complexity and customer exposure up to $5 million.* Appropriately assess eligibility of borrower(s), co-borrower(s), guarantor(s) assuring that, if needed, the SBA guarantee can be enforced.* Interacts with the internal SBA Sales and Operations colleagues to facilitate understanding of the SBA and USDA guaranteed loan programs as well as to understand the credit request, obtain necessary eligibility information, and communicate eligibility decision and reasoning.* Reviews use of proceeds, orders SBA Number, prepares SBA Loan Authorization and other SBA forms and is responsible for ensuring the loan meets all SBA/USDA requirements.* Reviews all reports and information received with respect to SBA/USDA eligibility requirements to determine if terms and conditions of the SBA credit approval will be met. This includes review of franchise agreements, purchase agreements, bank notes, and business plans.* Researches and resolves complex servicing questions from the SBA and internal personal to ensure the guaranty can be maintained.* May be asked to advise Financial Recovery Group (FRG)) colleagues in properly working out, liquidating, and litigating SBA loans. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.
