Prior to making the credit decision or advising the person(s) making the final credit decision, the Credit Analyst conducts a complete credit analysis including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers. Reviews customer accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company. May use technological tools, including computer software, to assist in the credit analysis process by helping evaluate a particular credit or a portfolio.
