Job summary

FLOFORM Countertops in Post Falls (Idaho) is hiring a full-time Sawyer for the night shift. Compensation is $25–$30/hour, depending on experience, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, life/ADD insurance, EAP, FSA, and 401k participation. Requires 1 year of related experience or willingness to train; HS diploma; good math, and strong communication.

Night shift: 4pm–12am, Mon–Fri. Must be able to lift 35–50 lbs, stand long hours, and operate tools like table saw and chop saw.

Qualifications

• 1 Year or more experience in similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quartz a plus but willing to train the right person.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic computer skills, MS Office.
• Organized, task oriented and attention to details.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of fractions and measurements.
• Knowledge of hand tools and operation of power tools.
• Possession of forklift operating certificate with 1 year experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Set up the work area by loading stone slabs.
• Mark blocks squarely and cut stone to specifications.
• Grind, sand, clean or polish surfaces to correct defects or prepare surfaces for finishing.
• File grooved and contoured surfaces to templates or blueprints.
• Maintain a clean, orderly workstation.
• Follow safety procedures on the production floor.
• Stand for long periods and work in wet conditions.
• Lift 35–50 lbs safely.
• Operate hand and power tools (e.g., table saw, chop saw).
• Night shift: 4pm–12am, Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets up the work area by adjusting or loading stone slabs
• Marks out block squarely and cuts stone to specifications
• Grind, sand, clean or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools
• File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of stone surfaces to conform to templates, other part, and layouts, or blueprint specifications
• Maintains workstation in a clean and orderly manner
• Observes and adhere to all safety procedures while on the production floor
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and withstand exposure to water (hands/feet) for long periods of time
• Must be able to safely lift 35-50lbs
• Must be able to work with hand tools using wrist and find manipulate for long periods of time
• Nightshift: 4pm-12:00am, Monday to Friday
