Interfor is seeking a Sawmill Production Team Member in Preston, GA to safely produce high-quality lumber in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow into machine operator and other skilled positions.

You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple production areas, work with a collaborative team, and contribute to achieving production goals while following safety procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Sawmill Production Team Member, Preston, Georgia

This is an entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training, making it a great fit for individuals who are safety-focused, dependable, and eager to build a long-term career.

As part of our operations team, you'll gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of the sawmill while developing the skills needed to grow into positions such as machine operator, mobile equipment operator, and other skilled roles.

Pay Range & Incentives
  • Starting Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour with opportunities for increased earnings as you develop new skills and grow your experience.
  • Night Shift Premium
  • Quarterly Gainshare Bonus (performance based)
What You’ll Do
  • Support daily sawmill operations and production activities.

  • Walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
