Job summary

Nord-Lock Group’s Expander unit in DeWitt, IA seeks an experienced saw operator for 1st shift to cut material per engineering drawings and customer orders. You will verify lengths and KA codes, maintain traceability, and stage material for downstream operations while loading appropriate saw programs and blades.

You will operate saw equipment safely in a heated/air-conditioned facility, adhering to SOPs, with opportunities to grow your skills in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Saw Operation & Material Preparation: review orders, verify lengths, KA code, certifications and batch/heat numbers.
• Maintain material traceability and proper labeling.
• Set up and operate saw equipment and load correct programs/blades.
• Perform first-piece verification and periodic dimensional checks.
