Job summary

SEF Energy in Oklahoma City is seeking a Saw Operator for the 2nd shift (3:30 pm – 2:00 am). The role focuses on operating the automatic feed CNC saw, reading production orders, and ensuring accurate material handling in the machining area.

You will use gauges to inspect, perform traceability documentation, maintain equipment, and operate cranes and forklifts. A minimum of 1 year CNC experience, the ability to read blueprints, and basic math are required; vocational CNC training is a plus.

Qualifications

Saw Operator - 2nd Shift 3:30 pm - 2:00 am

What is a Saw Operator?The Saw Operator/Material Handler primarily works in the machining area. Responsibilities include machine operations, material movement and general equipment upkeep.

In this role, you will:

• Load, set-up, and operate the automatic feed CNC saw
• Inspect work with the use of gauges
• Perform traceability marking and documentation
• Read production orders, interpret blueprints, and material specifications
• Basic equipment maintenance, shop housekeeping, chip disposal, equipment, and tooling upkeep
• Operation of overhead crane and forklift
• Sort and place raw material and finished goods in specific locations, while maintaining system integrity
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required and Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of CNC experience
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures
• Perform basic math
• Some computer knowledge / Machine controls
• Mechanically inclined with basic understanding of machinery and tooling

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
• Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.)
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, vibrations and moving mechanical parts
• Noise level in the shop may be loud

Education:

• High school degree or equivalent, may be waived if you have two years of related experience and/or training
• Vocational training in CNC
