Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, is hiring an entry-level CNC lathe operator. You will study work orders, blueprints, and GD&T to set up machining parameters and produce parts under close supervision.

Applicants will follow standard procedures and be able to interpret engineering plans, while using gauging techniques and SPC charts to ensure quality. Training and a discretionary bonus are part of total rewards.

Produces machined parts using a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine. Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Checks SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging and measurements.

A Support 1 is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience.

Responsibilities typically include: Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Pay Range: USD 24.00 - 28.50 Hourly. This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
