Spartan Emergency Response (Spartan ER) in the fire apparatus industry is seeking a Saw Operator who identifies materials and cuts metal to spec. You will select aluminum, stainless steel, or steel per instructions and operate vertical band saws to meet quality standards.
You'll read and interpret truck specifications, maintain a clean and safe work area, and help achieve production goals while supporting device and process improvements.

The Saw Operator identifies the appropriate material and cuts metal materials to required specifications. This position is responsible for accurately selecting materials, operating saw equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Work hours depend on business and departmental needs. All positions are subject to overtime requirements as necessary. Overtime may be scheduled through additional workdays, extended shifts, or other scheduling adjustments based on operational requirements.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The associate may be asked to assist with training new team members on specific job duties and processes.
