Job summary

ATI is hiring a Saw Operator for our Monroe, NC facility. You will cut orders to meet customer expectations using abrasive, MFL, and band saws, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

This night shift runs 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. Training will follow the same rotation. You’ll read milling instructions, measure accurately, stamp materials with IDs, and maintain logs as part of our proven materials team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and interpret milling instructions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cutting samples of metal using various saws.
• Operate to cut off prescribed sections and dispose properly.
• Set up machines, change blades, clean and perform basic maintenance.
• Read and interpret milling instructions (MIs).
• Use tape measure and other measuring instruments.
• Stamp materials with IDs and secure finished products with slings.
• Maintain logs and records.

We are seeking a Saw Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will be 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Additional Responsibilities

• Cutting samples of metal
• Operate as necessary to cut off prescribed sections and properly dispose
• Set up machines, change blades, clean machine, and perform simple machine maintenance as needed
• Read and interpret milling instructions “MIs”
• Use tape measure and other measuring devices
• Stamping materials with proper ID and put slings around the finished products
• Maintain logs and records

Qualifications
