Job summary

Support Tech in Savannah, GA is seeking a reliable Field Technician to perform low-voltage, IT, and field service work locally. You will install, troubleshoot, and service network cabling and equipment at customer sites, often working independently to resolve issues and complete tasks to high standards.

The ideal candidate has IT field services experience, a valid driver's license, basic hand tools, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT field services, low-voltage installation, or related technical fields
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to travel to customer sites
• Own basic hand tools for field service work
• Ability to pass a background check and drug testing
• Basic understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Ethernet and structured cabling
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to lift and move equipment as required
• Comfortable working in varied customer environments and job-site conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage and IT systems
• Install and service network cabling, Ethernet, structured cabling, and related equipment
• Assist with installation and troubleshooting of routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network equipment
• Perform basic computer, hardware, and peripheral troubleshooting
• Install, test, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling
• Diagnose connectivity and equipment issues
• Follow technical work orders, site instructions, and customer requirements
• Document completed work, including photos, equipment information, and test results
• Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and project coordinators
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Travel to various customer and job sites throughout the Savannah area
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and installation standards
