Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Wireless Firmware Engineer for the Starlink Mobile program. You will develop PHY/MAC layer software, optimize signal processing for satellite platforms, and debug complex wireless systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with wireless systems and protocol firmware engineers to advance wireless PHY development and deliver robust, high-performance software in a cutting-edge space system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in wireless signal processing, wireless systems, or L1 PHY.
• 1+ years of C/C++ coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PHY algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G (LTE/NR).
• Develop optimized signal processing for resource-constrained CPUs.
• Model and simulate system performance including modem performance.
• Design, implement, test, and document PHY and MAC layers of the protocol stack.
• Identify and debug performance issues across PHY and MAC layers.
• Participate in architecture reviews and assist with next-gen hardware design.
