Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond is seeking an entry level Satellite Test Engineer to help develop and execute testing to qualify new satellite designs for flight. You will collaborate with avionics, payload, and software teams, define test requirements, develop test plans, and execute campaigns to support development tests, with emphasis on Python scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate fluidly across a variety of teams to identify product risks and how they will be addressed to ensure mission success.
• Develop complex test automation sequences using scripting languages such as Python.
• Develop innovative hardware and processes to optimize and improve testing capabilities.

We are looking for an entry level Satellite Test Engineer to help develop and execute testing to qualify new satellite designs for flight. As Amazon Leo Satellite Test Engineer you will work with multiple engineering and manufacturing teams across ground and space systems to define test requirements, develop test plans, complex test scripts, and execute test campaigns to support development test initiatives. Your focus will be in test development to enable the introduction of new generations of satellites.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in design and/or test

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems
• Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems
• Hands-on testing experience.
• Experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive or consumer electronics systems.
• Scripting or programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C, etc.).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
