Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is building a satellite production facility in Midland, TX, seeking a Manufacturing Structural Tower Technician (1st shift) to support assembly, maintenance, and operations. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read technical docs, and hands-on experience with large-scale assemblies.

Relocation support is provided, with opportunities for overtime and night/weekend shifts for higher pay.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing or maintenance environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience working with large assemblies and fastening systems.
• Willingness to work physically demanding shifts and in an environment with moving parts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and mechanical systems.
• Assemble and disassemble large-scale mechanical components per specifications.
• Install, configure, and test equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections as scheduled.
• Read and interpret work instructions, manuals, and drawings.
• Document troubleshooting steps and outcomes for traceability.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
