Job summary

Next Solutions LLC is seeking experienced Satellite Installation Technicians and Telecommunications Field Technicians to support residential and commercial installs in the Indianapolis, IN market. Technicians perform installations, upgrades, service calls, and troubleshooting for satellite TV and internet systems, including DIRECTV, Viasat, and Starlink.

This is a field-based full-time contractor role with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in satellite, cable, or telecommunications field preferred.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Next Solutions is seeking experienced and motivated Satellite Installation Technicians, Fixed Wireless Installers, Broadband Technicians, and Telecommunications Field Technicians to support residential and commercial installation and service work throughout the Indianapolis, IN market, and surrounding areas.

Technicians will perform installations, upgrades, service calls, and troubleshooting for satellite television and internet services, including DIRECTV, Viasat, and Starlink systems.

This opportunity is ideal for self-motivated contractors who enjoy hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and working independently in the field.

The ideal candidate

has previous experience installing or servicing telecommunications equipment and is comfortable working independently in customer homes and businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Install satellite television and internet systems
• Install fixed wireless internet and broadband equipment
• Mount, align, and configure customer equipment
• Run and secure cabling according to installation standards
• Program and activate equipment
• Troubleshoot service and connectivity issuesPerform repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacements
• Verify proper functionality before leaving each job site
• Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the installation process

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Previous satellite, cable, telecommunications, or related field experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned workload
• Customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Ability to lift and carry installation equipment and materials
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully pass required background screening
• Ability to successfully complete required drug screening
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when business needs require
• Ability to meet customer service and installation quality expectations

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Contractors must provide:

• A work vehicle capable of transporting installation materials and an extension ladder
• Required hand tools and basic installation equipment
• Smartphone or mobile device capable of supporting field service applications

WORK HOURS & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a field-based role requiring full-time travel to customer locations, within a <100-mile service area.
• The typical schedule is 40-50 hours per week, including alternating weekends as needed.
