Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Melbourne, FL to develop TT&C and Satellite Mission Management software for mission-critical customers. The role involves system-level testing, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Occasional telework is possible for those local to the Melbourne area. The ideal candidate has a BS/BA in a technical field and experience with Python, Java/C, and Red Hat Linux environments, plus a current Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with software development life cycles and testing.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting in Python.
• RedHat Linux administration and lab setup experience.
• Active/Current Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level software integration and test of Satellite Ground Station applications.
• Develop and execute test procedures for software components written in Java and C.
• Plan and lead test readiness reviews and system verification.
• Document testing activities and contribute to customer acceptance.
• Configure Red Hat Linux environments and integrate with existing systems.
• Identify, document, and resolve issues to improve testing efficiency.
