Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Satellite Factory Government Liaison to join our Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group. This on-site role at Chantilly, VA will act as the Government focal point with development contractors, providing insights to accelerate delivery and ensure program objectives are met.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance and experience with DoD/IC satellite programs, with responsibilities across program management, scheduling, and communications with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience as COTR/PM/PEM/SET A PM or acquisition lead in IC/DoD satellite programs is essential.
• Budgetary, financial and EVM experience.
• Ability to lead and be the primary point of contact for one or more projects.
• Strong facilitation, briefing and writing skills across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Government Program Office on-site focal point for development contractor program management, contracts, finance and schedule activities.
• Engage with contractor leadership to capture insights on performance and timelines.
• Coordinate escalated requests with Government and contractor teams to enable progress.
• Provide weekly status updates on progress and deliverables.
• Actively track contracts, finances, schedules and deliverables.
• Attend and observe contractor reviews to gain progress insight and provide input.
• Participate in IPTs and system milestones, offering recommendations to improve system performance.
• Foster trusted data-sharing relationships with Developer leadership for win-win program outcomes.

We are seeking aSatellite Factory Government Liaisonto serve as a team member on a state-of-the-art space program that continuously operates in all phases of the system lifecycle. In this SETA role, you serve as an extension of the Government program office providing critical insight and communication with critical satellite factories.

Key Responsibilities

In this highly collaborative and dynamic position, you will:

• Serve as the Government Program Office’s on-site (factory) focal point for all development contractor’s program management, contract, finance and schedule activities.
• Proactively engage with the satellite development contractor’s programmatic leadership to capture insights into current and future performance.
• Be a partner to the development contractor to help escalated help-needed requests for the Government to work.
• Provide weekly status updates.
• Actively track all contract, finance, schedule and deliverable activities.
• Passively participate in development contractor’s program review meetings to gain insight into progress.
• Participate in Developer-led Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and system milestones, offering recommendations to enhance system performance and accelerate delivery timelines.
• Partner with Developer program leadership to establish a trusted relationship of sharing data and win-win ideas that benefit the program.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Intelligence Community and/or the Department of Defense Satellite Program Office experience as a COTR, PM, PEM, SETA PM or acquisition leader.
• Budgetary, financial and EVM experience.
• Ability to lead, and be the primary point of contact, for one or more projects.
• Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations) and strong facilitation, briefing and writing skills.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse audience of senior decision makers with varying levels of programmatic and technical expertise.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision.

Desired Qualifications

Additional qualifications that set you apart include:

• Intelligence Community and/or the Department of Defense Acquisition, PM, or COTR certification.
• 6+ years of experienceas a satellite developer, supplier, or SETA working on DoD or IC satellite programs.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
