EOI Space (Earth Observant, Inc.) seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to craft flight software for next‑gen satellites. You’ll work at the hardware‑software boundary, writing embedded Linux on Zynq platforms, bare‑metal firmware for TI C2000 MCUs, and FPGA logic in Verilog.

Expect hands‑on collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers in a lean, fast‑ paced team. The role emphasizes deep embedded fundamentals, rapid learning, and ability to troubleshoot at the register level

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on embedded software or firmware development; quick learners welcome.
• Strong C and C++ in resource‑constrained real‑time environments.
• Comfort reading schematics/datasheets and debugging hardware with JTAG/oscilloscopes/logic analyzers.
• Experience with Zynq UltraScale+ Yocto-based Linux, TI C2000 or Verilog FPGA development preferred.
• Comfort with ambiguity and communicating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and test flight software and firmware for our spacecraft.
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams from board bring‑up to on‑orbit operation.
• Develop embedded Linux software on Xilinx Zynq platforms, drivers, and userspace apps.
• Create and verify Verilog FPGA logic and interfacing with processing systems.
• Lead root cause investigations and deliver robust, flight‑ready software.
