Job summary

BE A CHAMPION, INC. is looking for an SAT Tutor in Houston, Texas, to deliver engaging and structured instruction for the upcoming April SAT. In this role, you will guide students through Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing sections while teaching essential test-taking strategies.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching at the secondary level, along with a strong familiarity with SAT preparation. Compensation is competitive at $27–$30 per hour based on experience and requires a commitment of 4 hours every Saturday.

Time Commitment: 4 hours each Saturday

Position Overview

Eastwood Academy is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging SAT Tutor to provide targeted instruction for students preparing for the April SAT administration. The ideal candidate is confident with SAT content, understands test strategies, and can adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver structured, SAT-focused instruction covering Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing (as applicable)

Teach effective test-taking strategies and time management skills

Identify student strengths and areas for improvement

Provide clear explanations and guided practice using SAT-style questions

Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment

Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of tutoring or teaching experience at the secondary (middle or high school) level

Demonstrated experience with SAT or standardized test preparation strongly preferred

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Ability to engage students and explain complex concepts clearly

Reliable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Skills
