Job summary

SiSTEM is seeking experienced SAT/ACT tutors to work with motivated students and families in the greater Houston area. You will diagnose strengths, build personalized prep plans, and teach test-taking strategies to help students reach target scores.

We value reliable tutors with 3+ years of experience, a track record of score improvement, and strong communication with families. You may set your own rates and work with a flexible, client-focused schedule within SiSTEM's platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SAT/ACT tutoring or test prep instruction experience.
• Proven results in helping students raise scores (200+ SAT points or 3+ ACT points).
• Deep familiarity with current SAT and ACT formats and scoring.
• Experience working with motivated students and families with target scores.
• Clear, patient communication and professional reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with students to provide focused SAT/ACT preparation.
• Diagnose strengths and weaknesses through practice tests and targeted assessments.
• Build a personalized prep plan based on each student's starting score, target score, and timeline.
• Teach test-taking strategies, pacing, and score optimization across all sections.
• Communicate progress and projected score trajectories with families.
• Maintain high standards of preparation and professionalism.
