Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is hiring SAT/ACT teachers to work in person in the Westchester and Connecticut areas. Candidates should have extensive experience with these tests and an in-depth understanding of strategies, study methods, and the math, verbal, and science sections.

You will provide academic support, assign supplemental work, and offer remedial and enrichment guidance, communicating progress with parents.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have extensive SAT/ACT teaching experience and understanding of strategies, study methods, and the math, verbal, and science sections of the tests.
• Strong communication with parents and guardians about student progress.

Job Summary

Requirements

• Meet at least one of the following:
  • Valid NY State teaching certificate or equivalent.
  • Current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate.
  • 2+ years experience as a classroom teacher in a private or charter school.
  • Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. university or college.
  • Master’s/PhD student with teaching assistant experience at an accredited U.S. university or college.
