We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAS Developer to lead the development and implementation of SAS-based solutions. This role involves managing data integrity, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS programming, data analysis, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAS programs and solutions
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of data through rigorous testing and validation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SAS developers
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources
• Collaborate with data analysts, statisticians, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAS programs, processes, and data structures
• Stay current with SAS technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SAS programming and data analysis
• At least 3 years in a lead or senior role
• Proficiency in SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
• Experience with SAS BI tools and SAS administration (preferred)
• Familiarity with source control/versioning software
• Experience with Agile development lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with data warehouses and claims data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or public health domains
• Exposure to SAS BI tools and administration
• Experience with SpecFlow for unit testing
