Job summary

A software development company in California is seeking a skilled professional to port SAS processes to Hadoop and implement SAS Metadata security. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience supporting SAS platforms. Key responsibilities include software installation, performance monitoring, and database management. This is a full-time role with specific eligibility requirements for US citizens and permanent residents.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience providing support on SAS platform and onboarding users.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SAS Grid Administration.
• Must be well versed with SAS coding and have Advanced SAS 9 certification.
• Knowledge of SAS Metadata and security management.
• Strong SAS coding skills and BI tool experience.
• Unix scripting ability is required.
• Experience with SAS migrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Porting SAS processes to Hadoop and implementing SAS Metadata level security.
• Perform software installation, configuration, and database backup & recovery.
• Monitor and tune performance and apply software patches.
• Perform data modelling, design and implementation.
• Ensure production data loads, backups and recovery.
• Monitor performance and tune SAS environments.
• Support global delivery initiatives.

• Porting of SAS process to Hadoop or SAS/Hadoop integration.
• SAS Metadata level security implementation
• Any additional SAS certification.
• Strong Analytical skills
• Data modelling, design & implementation based on recognized standards.
• Software installation and configuration.
• Database backup and recovery.
• Database connectivity and security.
• Performance monitoring and tuning.
• Software patches and upgrades.
• Previous experience with SAS a plus!
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :-

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of experience in Providing support to users for their day to day operations on SAS platform, onboarding new users, data loads, handle Access control, security management
• At least 2 years of experience in SAS Grid Administration – MUST having below expertise.
• SAS Metadata (User & data) management
• User security assignments in SAS Metadata
• SAS SPDS administration
• Must be well versed with SAS coding
• Advanced SAS 9 certification
• SAS development in BI tools
• Unix scripting at least at intermediate level
• Experience with SAS Migrations
• Should have experience in production data loads and data/storage management for multiple data sources.
