Job summary

Saratoga Retirement Community, a premier continuing care retirement community in Saratoga, CA, is hiring a Full Time CDL Driver. You will transport residents to appointments and events, assist with mobility devices, and help maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Join a compassionate team serving our senior residents. CDL required with DOT medical certificate, CPR/First Aid preferred, and at least two years of driving experience. Schedule: Mon-Fri with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• CDL class A/B/C and DOT medical certificate required.
• Two years’ driving experience in cars and/or buses.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to physician appointments.
• Operate passenger bus for outings and events.
• Operate wheelchair lift on equipped vehicles.
• Maintain interior cleanliness of vehicles.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance on transportation vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for malfunctions and report issues.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and with walkers/wheelchairs.

We are hiring for a Full Time Driver CDL for our premier continuing care retirement community. You will provide driving services to residents and guests of the community in an effort to promote a progressive customer service model.

Schedule: M-F, occasional evenings & weekends.

Compensation: $32 - $38 per hour / hr DOE

How You'll Do It

• Drive residents to physician appointments.
• Drive passenger bus for scheduled outings and events.
• Operate wheel chair lift on vehicles so equipped.
• Maintain interior cleanliness of the vehicles.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and service on transportation vehicles, especially related to safety of vehicle.
• Inspect vehicles to check for any malfunctions or deficiencies and report immediately.
• Assist residents in and out of all vehicles, loads and unloads walkers and wheelchairs.

About You

• Valid driver's license and insurable by the designated carrier.
• Maintain minimum eligibility requirements on driving record.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A, B, or C and Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate is required.
• Two (2) years' experience in driving cars and/or buses, transportation services or a related field.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to proficiently speak, read, and write the English language.
