Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking an Analytics Engineer for a hybrid role in Scottsdale, AZ. You will join a clean energy developer and operator and work on the semantic layer and data mart strategy, connecting SAP-derived data into Snowflake with dbt models.

You'll model data, build definitions for LLMs and BI tools, and create documentation and training materials to empower analysts to use data marts and Hex workbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.
• 3+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Engineering.
• Snowflake, SQL and Python proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the staging and intermediate dbt model layers for financial, operational, and asset-management data replicated from SAP (ERP) into Snowflake
• Build and maintain Snowflake semantic models (definitions that allow LLMs and BI tools to query business metrics without ad-hoc SQL)
• Create documentation, data dictionaries, and training materials that enable analysts to use data marts and Hex workbooks independently

Job description

Our client,a clean energy developer and operator across the US,is actively hiring anAnalytics Engineerto join their team inScottsdale, AZ! This will be a hybrid role and will require 3 days a week onsite.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and owning the semantic layer and data mart strategy that connects the raw operational and financial data to the business teams who depend on it. A significant portion of your work will focus on modeling data replicated from SAP, our financial and other operational platforms into Snowflake building clean, tested, and well-documented dbt models that serve Hex dashboards and Snowflake semantic models queryable by LLMs.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years in an Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI Engineering role
• Working knowledge of Snowflake
• SQL and Python proficiency
