Job summary

CSCI Consulting, Inc. is seeking an SAP Project Systems Functional Consultant to implement, configure, and support SAP PS solutions for complex projects from planning through closeout.

Remote work option with potential travel and Federal clearance considerations. The candidate should have hands‑on SAP PS configuration experience and strong integration knowledge with SAP TM, CO, MM, SD, FI, PM, and PP, plus budgeting, scheduling, and reporting expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires hands‑on experience configuring SAP Project System functionality.
• Experience integrating SAP PS with Transportation Management, Controlling, MM, SD, FI, PM, PP.
• Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions and support planning, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, testing, and production operations.
• Active Federal Secret security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize SAP PS functionality including WBS, networks, activities, and milestones.

SAP Project Systems Functional Consultant

Job Description

CSCI Consulting is looking for a SAP Project Systems Functional Consultant to implement, configure, and support SAP Project System solutions used to manage complex projects from initial planning through execution, monitoring, settlement, and closeout.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience configuring SAP Project System functionality and integrating it with SAP Transportation Management, Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Financial Accounting, Plant Maintenance, and Production Planning. This individual will translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions while supporting project planning, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, testing, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize SAP Project System functionality, including Work Breakdown Structures, networks, activities, relationships, and milestones
• Design and implement project structures that support cost planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Configure project templates and standardized project structures
• Develop and maintain project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and reporting processes
• Integrate SAP Project System with SAP Transportation Management and other SAP modules, including Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Financial Accounting, Plant Maintenance, and Production Planning
• Configure and support project costing, budgeting, billing, revenue recognition, results analysis, settlement, and closing activities
• Support resource planning and capacity‑leveling processes
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional SAP Project System solutions.
• Facilitate requirements discussions with business and technical stakeholders
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documentation, and end‑user materials
• Conduct end‑user training and knowledge‑transfer sessions
• Troubleshoot functional and integration issues and provide ongoing production support
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, data migration, cutover, and go‑live activities
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to resolve issues and deliver system enhancements
• Maintain knowledge of SAP best practices and new Project System capabilities
• Support client‑site and implementation activities requiring limited travel
• Must be able to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance (Active clearance preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• At least three to five years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting SAP Project System solutions
• Experience configuring SAP Project System master data, Work Breakdown Structures, networks, activities, relationships, and milestones
• Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting
• Experience with project costing, cost planning, budgeting, billing, settlement, and revenue recognition
• Understanding of the integration points between SAP Project System and other SAP modules, including Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, and Financial Accounting
• Experience with resource planning and capacity leveling
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Experience using SAP Project Builder, Project Planning Board, and Project System reporting tools
• Knowledge of results analysis and settlement configuration
• Experience supporting testing, data migration, implementation, and production activities.
