Job summary

NTT DATA Services is seeking a SAP Project Manager Lead Advisor / Program Manager for our Plano, Texas team. You will lead large-scale SAP implementations, S/4HANA programs, and related non-SAP initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of business objectives.

You will oversee project plans, charters, scope, risks, and financials, while guiding delivery teams and collaborating with SAP architects, vendors, and client leadership to drive enterprise

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of SAP experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Program / Project Management.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing SAP S/4HANA projects as a Project Manager.
• Minimum 6+ years of successful experience managing large-scale projects involving SAP as a key component for large enterprise clients.
• Minimum 5+ years of SAP Project Management experience.
• Experience managing at least 4 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
• Strong experience with SAP Activate Methodology.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with teams from staff to executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and schedules, manage timely execution of project activities, and oversee team availability, resource planning, and vacation schedules.
• Develop project charters, manage project scope, and initiate necessary change requests while ensuring alignment with corporate margin and revenue targets.
• Manage project risks, issues, and key decision-making processes, ensuring all critical decisions are captured and documented throughout project execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related escalations and coordinate their resolution in accordance with established project governance structures.
• Provide accurate project status reporting in line with governance requirements, including internal and customer-facing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and Stage Gate reporting.
• Apply effective project management practices aligned with client culture while ensuring project objectives and expected business outcomes are achieved.
• Concurrently manage multiple customer projects, providing day-to-day leadership to analyze requirements, develop designs, and implement SAP and related solutions.
• Manage SAP greenfield implementations, brownfield technical upgrade projects, and smaller SAP initiatives, including related projects in non-SAP areas.
• Work closely with SAP Program Managers, architects, technical teams, and functional analysts to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding SAP projects, project methodology, technology, and functionality.
• Collaborate with client project leadership and participating vendors to define, architect, drive, and deliver cohesive project solutions.
• Lead delivery teams, drive desired professional behaviors, motivate team members, and create an environment that enables successful project performance.
• Manage project financials, ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved in line with expectations.
• Engage with customer leadership and project stakeholders to demonstrate proposed approaches and solutions and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Position Overview

The SAP Project Manager Lead Advisor / SAP Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing large-scale SAP projects and business transformation initiatives for enterprise clients. The role involves overseeing end-to-end SAP implementations, S/4HANA programs, technical upgrades, and related non-SAP initiatives while ensuring successful project execution, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of business objectives. The candidate will provide strategic project leadership, manage project financials, risks, schedules, and resources, and drive delivery excellence in alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.

Day-to-Day Job Duties

Develop project plans and schedules, manage timely execution of project activities, and oversee team availability, resource planning, and vacation schedules.

Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with team members at all organizational levels, from employees to executives.

Strong focus on results, ensuring project objectives are achieved in terms of business value and financial performance.

Ability to demonstrate and communicate the advantages of proposed approaches and solutions.

Nice to Have

Experience managing SAP greenfield implementations and brownfield technical upgrade projects.

Experience managing multiple concurrent SAP and non-SAP projects for enterprise customers.

Experience collaborating with client leadership, third-party vendors, SAP architects, and cross-functional delivery teams.
