Job summary

Accenture is seeking a strong PMO leader to drive SAP transformation programs in a dynamic, global setting. The role requires coordinating across workstreams, managing governance, and delivering structured execution plans using Jira, Azure DevOps, and Power BI.

You will coach junior team members, align stakeholders, and enable data-driven decision making while operating within Accenture’s delivery frameworks. This position involves travel up to 100% based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years professional experience in SAP project environments, IT consulting, or enterprise transformation.
• Minimum 5 years experience supporting or leading SAP programs in a PMO or project management capacity.
• Participation in at least 2 full end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles (ECC or S/4HANA).
• Hands-on experience across project planning and scheduling, RAID management, financial tracking and forecasting, resource management, status reporting and governance/SteerCo support.

Responsibilities

• Lead a PMO function or program management workstream, ensuring governance activities, reporting, planning, communications and stakeholder management.
• Establish and continuously improve ways of working, tools, governance processes and reporting structures tailored to client needs.
• Partner across delivery leadership to operationalise PMO frameworks and toolsets, including Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, templates and governance routines.
• Manage and coordinate program activities across multiple workstreams, aligning scope, milestones, dependencies and resources.
• Coordinate phase gate and readiness activities across workstreams, tracking entry/exit criteria and driving closure.
• Lead your team with direction, coaching and hands-on support, removing obstacles and ensuring quality deliverables.
• Serve as trusted advisor to client and internal stakeholders, offering recommendations and actionable insights.
• Drive timely decision-making by synthesising complex information and presenting clear options.
• Develop and monitor integrated plans, dashboards, status reports, risk logs and PMO artefacts for transparency.

The Work:

• Lead a PMO function or program management workstream, ensuring effective execution of governance activities, reporting, planning, communications and stakeholder management processes.

• Establish and continuously improve ways of working, tools, governance processes and reporting structures tailored to the client's needs and aligned with SAP delivery leading practices and Accenture methodologies.

• Partner across delivery leadership, enablement teams and workstreams to operationalise Accenture program management frameworks and toolsets, including Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, standardised templates, governance routines and reporting cadences that enable consistent operational execution.

• Manage and coordinate program activities across multiple workstreams, helping ensure alignment on scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues and overall program objectives .

• Coordinate phase gate and readiness activities across workstreams, validating progress against defined entry and exit criteria, tracking required evidence, identifying readiness gaps and driving owners to closure ahead of key milestones and governance decisions.

• Lead your team with clear direction, coaching and hands‑on support, removing obstacles, fostering accountability and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to client and internal stakeholders within your area of responsibility, providing recommendations, communicating programme insights and supporting effective decision‑making.

• Drive timely decision‑making by synthesising complex information, presenting clear options and recommendations and coordinating stakeholders to achieve alignment and action.

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated plans, dashboards, status reports, action logs, risk registers and other PMO artefacts that provide transparency into programme performance and health.

• Identify risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies proactively, performing root‑cause analysis, recommending mitigation strategies and driving resolution through appropriate governance channels.

• Support executive governance meetings and steering committees by preparing materials, analysing programme data, highlighting key decisions and communicating actionable insights.

• Apply AI, GenAI, automation and analytics capabilities to modernise PMO operations, streamline reporting, improve planning accuracy, enhance governance processes and increase overall delivery effectiveness.

• Monitor programme metrics and performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations that help leadership proactively manage delivery outcomes.

• Build strong working relationships across client organisations, Accenture teams and partner ecosystems to enable collaboration and successful programme execution.

• Contribute to business development activities, solutioning efforts and proposal development by bringing practical delivery experience and programme management expertise .

• Contribute to the development of assets, playbooks, accelerators and leading practices while actively coaching and mentoring junior PMO and programme management practitioners.

  Here's what you need:

• Minimum of 5 years total professional experience in SAP project environments, IT consulting, or enterprise transformation.

• Minimum of 5 years experience supporting or leading SAP programs in a PMO or project management capacity, including:

• Participation in at least 2 full end‑to‑end SAP implementation lifecycles (ECC or S/4HANA).

• Hands‑on experience across: project planning and scheduling, RAID management, financial tracking and forecasting, resource management, status reporting and governance/ SteerCo support.

• Experience coordinating phase gate and readiness activities: tracking entry/exit criteria, collecting workstream evidence, identifying gaps and driving owners to closure.

• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams (teams of 4-15 professionals) across business, functional, technical, deployment, testing and change workstreams.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an, Associate’s Degree with 6 years of work experience)

  Technical & Functional Knowledge:

• SAP S/4HANA familiarity required ; direct experience supporting S/4HANA, ECC, rollout, migration or transformation programs.

• Working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery frameworks.

• Proficiency with PMO toolsets: Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Power BI, Excel (advanced) and SharePoint — including configuration, maintenance and adoption across delivery teams.

• Experience operationalizing automation, reporting accelerators, analytics dashboards or GenAI/Agentic AI capabilities to improve PMO visibility, governance and delivery efficiency is preferred.

  Preferred Certifications:

• PMP or PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner.

• SAP Certified Associate — Project Manager (SAP Activate).

• CAPM, PMI‑ACP, Scrum Master or SAP module‑level certification.
