Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company in Parsons, KS, is seeking a Planner, Production 2 to independently manage SAP-based demand, supply, and production planning for site operations and complex contracts.

You will analyze schedules, material availability, WIP, inventory, and period-end issues; determine priorities and corrective actions; and lead planning meetings to balance a 45-day production schedule. Strong SAP PP/MM and inventory control knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor degree preferred.
• Experience resolving complex planning, inventory, and SAP issues.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently develops and maintains production and material plans, evaluates schedules, WIP, inventory, and material availability to set priorities and actions.
• Leads SAP planning administration for contracts, BOMs, routings, work centers, and daily production records; reviews accuracy and resolves exceptions.
• Partners with Procurement to determine material requirements and resolve supplier issues affecting schedule attainment.
• Directs monthly inventory reconciliation, analyzes variances, and aligns records with schedules and forecasts.
• Leads planning meetings; advises Operations, Quality, Inventory, Procurement, and Finance on risks and priorities.
• Trains teammates on SAP planning processes and recommends improvements.
