Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced professional for SAP-based Finance Transformation projects in Chicago, Illinois. You will leverage your extensive SAP knowledge and leadership skills to engage with senior finance executives, architect solutions, and lead project teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in SAP functional and technical aspects, particularly with Retail clients, and is comfortable advising on best practices and innovations. A competitive benefits package is offered, including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.

The Work

• Engage with senior client Finance executives on business challenges, trends and potential value of SAP solutions.
• Lead customers in defining their SAP journey through business cases, roadmaps, sales origination, proposal development and client presentations.
• Architect end‑to‑end Finance solutions that leverage SAP technologies, custom apps, and add‑on partner solutions.
• Explain SAP’s Business AI strategy, including capabilities and roadmap, and identify areas where AI delivers value.
• Deploy AI use cases within SAP delivery to improve efficiency and explain AI‑driven improvements.
• Advise, design and deliver Finance solutions based on industry and technology best practices leveraging SAP solutions and embedded innovation.
• Lead large project teams of varying size and scope – helping them achieve transformational roadmaps onsite with clients or within Accenture.
• Become a trusted expert and advisor to clients, team, and Accenture leadership by staying current on regulations, trends and innovations.
• Be a thought leader, build assets and best practices, and develop the next level of transformation experts.

Travel

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years of SAP functional/technical expertise with product costing. Experience with cost accounting processing such as inventory valuation, margin analysis, overhead accounting or project accounting preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP projects supporting Retail clients (SAP support/managed services experience will not be considered).
• Minimum 3 end‑to‑end SAP S/4 implementations, including project planning, estimation and solution architecture for Retail clients.
• Experience managing SAP delivery teams in a global delivery model.
• Prior experience in a consulting/advisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 5 years’ work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6‑year work experience.
