Job summary

A leading oil and gas client in Texas is seeking an experienced SAP Consultant to join their Applications Procurement team. The ideal candidate will have around 10 years' experience in full-cycle SAP implementation, with expertise in Material Management (MM) and knowledge of Logistics (LO). Responsibilities include leading business requirement sessions, developing functional specifications, and conducting testing. Familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry is preferred. This role provides opportunities to mentor colleagues and manage SAP changes.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of work experience in full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade.
• SAP functional skill in Material Management (MM) is required.
• Work experiences in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Participate and lead business requirement gathering sessions.
• Develop and document functional specifications based on business requirements.
• Perform unit and integration testing; support testers for user acceptance testing (UAT).

Job Description

• Individual will be part of the Applications Procurement team
• Will work on major SAP Purchase-to-Pay projects or small work items (enhancements) in the Acquisition, Supply Chain or Payables areas or to provide Production Support
• Participate and lead business requirement gathering sessions
• Develop and document functional specification based on business requirement
• Work with programmers to ensure the technical solution meets business requirement
• Perform unit and integration testing; support testers for user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Lead management of change for migrating SAP changes to the Production environment
• Mentor and conduct knowledge sharing sessions for fellow colleagues

Qualifications

• Around 10 years of work experience in full-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade
• SAP functional skill in Material Management (MM), Logistics (LO) module required; Working knowledge of Plant Maintenance (PM) or Financial (FI/CO) will be preferable but not required
• Work experiences in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries
• Proficiency in troubleshooting ABAP programs, IDOCs, Workflows
• Experiences with using SAP OSS, Solutions Manager, SMBB
