Job Description

SAPNS2 is seeking a highly motivated, self‑directed professional to fill the role of a functional application architect in Chantilly, VA. This role is part of a broader team implementing and maintaining SAP enterprise software solutions. The functional consultant works closely with customer end users and developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality.

• Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for new software applications.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance.
• Serve as a liaison between the technical team and the stakeholders.
• Design and develop new functions or improve existing ones.
• Gather and analyze requirements to design or enhance new processes to improve user experience.
• Interface with senior leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities.
• Create documentation such as requirements specifications, test scripts, user guides, and help files.
• Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases to ensure they meet stated requirements.
• Provide technical support to end users and help troubleshoot issues with software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–5 years of consulting experience, preferably with enterprise software or cloud applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, Google).
• Experience working with federal or national‑security customers is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems), or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The targeted annual combined compensation range for this position is 90,000‑198,500 USD. Additional benefits are available in the SAP North America Benefits portfolio.
