Job summary

CSCI Consulting seeks a SAP HAZMAT Functional resource to support a large DoW modernization, transforming legacy logistics into an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will design, configure, and validate hazardous materials and regulatory processes, collaborating with stakeholders across MM, TM, EWM, SD and beyond.

The role involves data migration, testing, and documentation to enable standardized, data-driven logistics and compliant material handling within a unified enterprise platform.

Qualifications

• SAP HAZMAT and dangerous goods business processes within SAP S/4HANA
• Translate operational/regulatory requirements into SAP functional designs and configurations
• Support data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation for hazardous materials

Responsibilities

• Serve as a functional SME for SAP HAZMAT and Dangerous Goods in SAP S/4HANA
• Analyze requirements for hazardous material identification, classification, storage, handling, movement, transport, and reporting
• Support configuration and design of SAP capabilities to manage hazardous and regulated materials
• Maintain HAZMAT master data, classifications, and regulatory information
• Integrate HAZMAT requirements across SAP MM, TM, EWM, SD and other logistics processes
• Support Dangerous Goods management in transportation and shipment workflows
• Develop functional specs, process flows, documentation, and system design artifacts
• Identify gaps and recommend SAP-standard solutions or process improvements
• Assist with data migration, cleansing, and validation activities
• Participate in SIT/UAT/regression testing and defect resolution
• Develop end-to-end HAZMAT test scenarios across SAP modules
• Troubleshoot functional issues with cross-functional teams
• Ensure compliance with federal, DoD, transportation, and environmental regulations
