Accenture is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Architect in Retail to lead full-cycle SAP delivery from planning to deployment. You will architect end-to-end Finance solutions leveraging S/4HANA, CAR, POSDTA and related SAP technologies, while guiding integrations with POS/store systems and governance across teams.

Standing up business cases, roadmaps, and client presentations, you will also advise on AI-enabled use cases within SAP programs and stay ahead on regulatory changes and retail

• Minimum 8 years of experience leading clients through full-cycle SAP Finance delivery across all phases — Plan, Analyze, Build, Test, and Deploy — as a Solution Architect or Delivery Lead.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering SAP Finance transformations for Retail clients (Grocery, Specialty, or Fashion preferred).
• Minimum 3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations including project planning, estimation, solution design, and go-live (SAP support / managed services experience alone will not satisfy the implementation requirement)
• Prior experience in a consulting or advisory capacity with direct client-facing accountability.
• Hands on experience deploying AI-enabled use cases within SAP programs, including capabilities such as Joule, embedded AI, and predictive accounting.

You Are:

A seasoned SAP Finance Solution Architect with deep retail industry expertise and a passion for solving complex, cross-functional challenges. You have led clients through full-cycle SAP Finance transformations — from initial planning and analysis through build, test, and deployment — and you know how to translate ambitious business goals into clear, executable SAP solutions. You are equally comfortable presenting to a CFO, designing an integration architecture with a technical team, or coaching a junior consultant through a configuration challenge.

You bring specific depth in SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) and POSDTA, understanding how point-of-sale transaction data flows from store systems through to the general ledger, and how to design clean reconciliation patterns that give retail finance teams confidence in their numbers.

The Work:

As an SAP Finance Architect in Retail you will:

• Engage senior client Finance executives on business challenges, trends, and the potential value of SAP Finance solutions — current and future.

• Lead clients through all phases of full-cycle SAP delivery: Plan, Analyze, Build, Test, and Deploy.

• Architect end-to-end Finance solutions that leverage SAP S/4HANA Finance, CAR, POSDTA, and complementary SAP technologies, custom apps, and partner add-ons.

• Design and govern the integration between POS/store systems and SAP FI/CO, including POSDTA inbound processing, revenue posting, and daily reconciliation.

• Develop business cases, solution roadmaps, and presentations that bring client leadership on board with transformation strategies.

• Advise on SAP's Business AI strategy — identifying where AI can deliver measurable value within Finance and Retail operations.

• Lead large, diverse project teams (onshore and offshore), maintaining quality, scope, and stakeholder alignment throughout delivery.

• Become a trusted advisor to clients and Accenture leadership by staying current on regulations, SAP platform developments, and Retail industry trends.

• Contribute to thought leadership, reusable assets, and best-practice development to grow Accenture's SAP Retail capability.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements

Here's what you need:

• Minimum 8 years of experience leading clients through full-cycle SAP Finance delivery across all phases — Plan, Analyze, Build, Test, and Deploy — as a Solution Architect or Delivery Lead.

• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering SAP Finance transformations for Retail clients (Grocery, Specialty, or Fashion preferred).

• Hands on experience deploying AI-enabled use cases within SAP programs, including capabilities such as Joule, embedded AI, and predictive accounting.

• Deep expertise across FI/CO, Universal Journal, GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Product Costing, Margin Analysis, Treasury, and period-end close, including complex accounting, controls, and statutory requirements.

• Strong retail domain experience spanning omnichannel P&L, inventory valuation, merchandise and franchise accounting, rebates, leases, payments, and SAP CAR/POSDTA, including POS-to-Finance integration, sales reconciliation, tax, promotions, gift cards, loyalty, and inventory reconciliation.

• End-to-end architecture experience across S/4HANA, IS-Retail, SD/MM/EWM/TM, BTP/CPI, third-party POS and e-commerce, SAC/BW analytics, data migration, RISE with SAP, cutover, extensibility, and financial controls/compliance.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum of 6 years' work experience.

Bonus Points if:

• You have SAP S/4HANA Finance certification, such as SAP Certified Application Associate or an equivalent Finance certification.

• You have Experience applying SAP Activate methodology and leading Agile delivery and sprint execution within SAP transformation programs.
