Job summary

Iron City Search, Inc. is seeking a senior SAP EWM consultant for a contract-2-hire assignment in the United States. You will lead workshops, design and implement SAP EWM solutions, and integrate with S/4HANA modules. Travel 20-40% and remote work possible.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on SAP EWM experience (embedded or decentralized), ABAP debugging, IDocs, and strong collaboration with development teams. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement scalable SAP EWM solutions.
• Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA modules (SD, PP, QM) and 3rd‑party systems.
• Configure inbound/outbound, LOSC/POSC, HU management, serialization, MFS, and kitting in EWM.
• Develop functional documentation, training materials, and process flows.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements, interfaces, and user exits.
• Support S/4HANA EWM modernization and migration projects (embedded and decentralized).

Job description

This is a Contract-2-hire assignment with (convert to full-time after 6 months).

May be worked remote but there is client-site travel (20-40%)

Only permanent residents please as this will include Government contract work (Security Clearance)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead workshops to demonstrate standard SAP EWM processes and gather detailed logistics and warehousing requirements.
• Design, configure, and implement scalable SAP EWM solutions tailored to business needs.
• Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA modules (SD, PP, QM), Global Trade & Services, and 3rd‑party systems.
• Configure key EWM components: inbound/outbound processes, warehouse structure, RF framework, storage control (LOSC/POSC), automation, HU management, serial numbers, VAS, and kitting.
• Develop functional documentation, training materials, and process flows.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers on custom enhancements, OData services, interfaces, RF screens, BAdIs, and user exits.
• Support IDocs, qRFCs, MFS integration, and technical troubleshooting using EWM debugging.
• Serve as the bridge between functional and technical teams and contribute to solution architecture decisions.
• Support S/4HANA EWM modernization and migration projects (embedded and decentralized).

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong hands‑on experience in:
• EWM configuration (inbound/outbound, transfers, RF, VAS, LOSC/POSC, HU management, serialization, MFS, kitting)
• ABAP debugging, enhancement framework, IDocs, qRFC, RF screen customization, and integration tools
• Ability to write and review technical specifications (FS) and collaborate effectively with development teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics flows, and automation systems.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM (embedded or decentralized).
• Willingness to travel 20–40% based on project needs.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP EWM (embedded or decentralized).

Nice to Have

• SAP EWM certification or formal SAP training.
• Knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution or additional SAP modules.
• Experience with Decentralized EWM implementation with S4 HANA
