Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Technology Analysis to drive SAP EWM projects and lead client engagements. You will translate business requirements into technical designs, configure SAP EWM, and deliver RICEF solutions while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The opportunity

Our SAP Extended Warehouse Management ( EWM ) professionals deliver strategic solutions to help clients transform their logistics operations, improving cost, efficiency, quality and effectiveness.

In this role, you will interact with business stakeholders to evaluate business models, processes, and operations. You will gather, understand, and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Additionally, you will analyze newly implemented technology solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in Technology Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering complex technical initiatives. You will face challenges that require innovative problem-solving and analytical skills, providing you with opportunities to grow and learn in a dynamic environment.

• Lead and deliver quality SAP projects, workstreams, and ensure effective management of processes and solutions.
• Track deliverable completion and project status, ensuring alignment with performance objectives.
• Actively participate in client working sessions, leading workstreams from planning through execution and closure.
• Participate in Explore phase design workshops.
• Perform configuration of SAP EWM and other related SAP modules.
• Design custom RICEF solutions and document functional specifications.
• Perform testing of solutions.

• Provide on-site hypercare support to client warehouse users.
• Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and possess strong business acumen.
• Consistently delivering quality client services, monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

In a typical engagement, you will collaborate with the key stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on SAP system capabilities. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Additionally, you will liaise with the stakeholders and the technical team to translate requirements into effective business solutions, completing the configurations with both SAP and non- SAP systems. To qualify for the role, you must have

• Typically, no less than 4 – 6 years relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience delivering SAP EWM solutions.
• Experience managing an SAP project or workstream and project‑based team members.
• Experience leading client‑facing engagements, mentoring team members, and managing stakeholder expectations throughout project delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to research complex client issues, emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in technology business requirements definition, analysis, and mapping.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Prior consulting industry experience or deep industry experience in warehouse management.
• SAP certification(s), preferably in SAP EWM or related Supply Chain Management solutions.
• Experience leading or participating in at least two full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations from design through deployment and post‑go‑live support.
• Experience performing hands‑on SAP system configuration.
• Experience designing and documenting custom RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) solutions, including the development of functional specifications.
• Experience integrating SAP EWM with other SAP modules, including S/4HANA, MM, SD, PP, and TM.
• Experience developing, executing, and managing test strategies, test scripts, and defect resolution activities.
• Experience writing and delivering training materials for end users.
• Knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations for distribution and/or manufacturing facility operations.

The salary range for this job is:

• New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $171,200 to $285,300
• Bay Area California offices – $178,400 to $297,200
• All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $142,600 to $261,500

Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
