Job summary

Danta Technologies in San Jose, CA, is seeking an SAP EWM Functional Expert to lead end-to-end warehouse process design and testing.

You will work onsite, coordinating with operations, systems engineering, IT networks, and 3PL providers to implement automated warehouse solutions.

The role focuses on gWMS integration with KNAPP KiSoft WCS, data contracts, and validation across FAT, SIT, SAT, and UAT.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP EWM Extended Warehouse Management and WMS/WCS interfaces.
• Ability to design end-to-end warehouse processes and test integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional blueprinting for automated warehouse processes includingGoods-to-Person (GTP) picking, replenishment, and multi-deep storage.
• Design and specify interfaces (RESTful, queues, sockets) between gWMS and KNAPP KiSoft WCS.
• Develop FSDs, user journeys, flow diagrams and SOPs; support FAT/SIT/SAT/UAT testing.
• Collaborate with logistics operations, systems engineering, IT networks, and 3PL partners.

Job Description

The resource working will be a gWMS Functional Expert in:

• WH Automation
• gWMS Feature requests: Understanding logistics business operations, host Warehouse Management Systems, and automated Material Handling Equipment.
• Functional solution architecture, interface design, end-to-end process orchestration, and testing integrations with KNAPP Warehouse Control System (KiSoft WCS).
• Functional Architecture & Process DesignEnd-to-End Automation Workflows: Lead functional blueprinting for automated warehouse processes, including Goods-to-Person (GTP) picking, decanting/induction, tote/carton auto-consolidation, multi-deep case storage/retrieval, and automated replenishmentWMS-WCS Interface & Data Contracts: Define interface specifications and message handshakes (RESTful APIs, message queues, socket communications) between gWMS and KNAPP KiSoft WCS (e.g., container routing, order line releases, pick confirmations, exception handling)
• Traceability & Inventory Integrity: Ensure system logic supports strict serial number (SN), country of origin (COO), and transaction tracking across WMS, WCS, automated stations, and manual fallbacks
• Implementation, Testing & CommissioningSpecification Authoring: Author comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user journeys, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Testing Lifecycle Management: Develop test strategies and lead execution across Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Floor Validation & Emulation: Partner with controls and automation engineers to validate station ergonomics, pick-to-light/put-to-light workflows, scanner configurations, and system recovery protocols under emulated and live loads.
• Collaboration: Cross-Functional
• Collaboration: Partner with Logistics Operations, Systems Engineering, Project Management, IT Network/Infrastructure teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to maintain high-availability warehouse execution.
