Job summary

Skywalk Global is seeking an experienced SAP EWM Architect / Functional Analyst to lead the design and delivery of warehouse automation solutions in a contract-like role in the United States. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating SAP EWM with ASRS, VLM, and AMR systems and at least two end-to-end ASRS implementations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two full end-to-end SAP EWM implementations involving ASRS.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP EWM with ASRS, VLM, and AMR solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP EWM configuration (embedded and/or decentralized, S/4HANA preferred).
• Experience with interfaces to third-party applications, including IDoc configuration, monitoring, and error handling.
• Experience defining and delivering enhancements (BAdIs, user exits, custom developments).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and integration with SAP MM, SD, and QM.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a contract role.
• ABAP knowledge and debugging skills for independent issue analysis.
• Experience with SAP EWM MFS, PLC communication, or WCS integration.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration projects.

• Gather and analyze business requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and translate needs into functional specifications.
• Configure SAP EWM, including warehouse structure, inbound/outbound processes, internal movements, storage control, putaway and picking strategies, wave management, slotting, and RF framework.
• Design and implement integration between SAP EWM and automation equipment (ASRS, VLM, AMRs), including MFS where applicable.
• Define and manage interfaces with third-party applications such as WCS/WES, MES, and carrier systems, using IDocs, RFCs, web services, and middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO or CPI).
• Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, BAdIs, reports, and forms, and collaborate with ABAP developers on delivery.
• Support system integration testing, UAT, cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration and process issues, performing root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with automation vendors, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Provide knowledge transfer, documentation, and end-user training.

Looking an experienced SAP EWM Architect / Functional Analyst to lead the design and delivery of warehouse automation solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience integrating SAP EWM with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Vertical Lift Modules (VLM), and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and has delivered at least two end-to-end ASRS implementations.

Experience: 10+ years in SAP Extended Warehouse Management

Key Responsibilities:
