Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and blueprinting for enterprise EWM deployments, guiding functional and ABAP teams and securing client approvals.
• Architect and maintain interfaces between EWM and automated material handling systems (ASRS, AGV, AMR, RF) and satellite platforms (MES, WES).
• Manage inbound/outbound processing, HU management, RF transactions, and related EWM functions including Kitting and Cold Chain Management.
• Oversee requirements, functional specs, change requests, and release governance for smooth go-live and hypercare.
• Direct day-to-day client interactions to ensure compliance with GxP and SOX frameworks.

Role Summary

Seeking an SAP EWM Architect with 15+ years of relevant experience for a hybrid contract role in Indianapolis, IN (Teams video interview process).

The candidate will serve as the Lead Solution Architect for enterprise SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) delivery.

Responsibilities include leading blueprinting sessions, designing end-to-end solutions, and driving complex integrations with automated warehouse systems (ASRS, AGV, AMR, conveyors, RF units) and core modules (MES, SD, MM, PP, QM).

Domain experience in highly regulated Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical environments operating under GxP and SOX compliance standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Blueprinting: Lead functional and ABAP teams through architecture design, blueprinting sessions, effort estimations, and client approvals for enterprise EWM deployments.
• Automated Systems & Satellite Integration: Architect and maintain interfaces (PI, ALE, REST) between EWM and automated material handling systems (ASRS, AGV, AMR, LIFT, conveyors) and satellite platforms (MES, WES).
• Core EWM Functional Execution: Manage inbound/outbound delivery processing, Handling Unit (HU) management, RF transactions, Transportation Units, Production Integration, Kitting, and Cold Chain Management.
• End-to-End Change Management: Oversee requirement gathering, functional spec preparation, change requests (CRs), release governance, testing, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Regulatory Governance & Client Engagement: Direct day-to-day client interactions to build confidence while enforcing strict GxP and SOX compliance frameworks.

Required Skills

• Core Experience: 15+ years of dedicated SAP experience with a minimum of 2–4 full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations (at least 2 as a Lead Solution Architect).
• Automation & Integration Stack: Proven experience integrating EWM with warehouse automation (ASRS, AGV, AMR, RF) and core S/4HANA/ECC modules (MES, SD, MM, PP, QM via PI/ALE/REST).
• EWM Module Mastery: Deep expertise in Inbound/Outbound processing, HU Management, RF Transactions, Production Integration, Kitting, and Cold Chain Management.
• Domain & Compliance: Strong background in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical business processes with hands‑on exposure to GxP and SOX regulatory standards.
• Technical & Troubleshooting: Functional Spec creation, release governance, incident management tools, and basic ABAP debugging skills.
• Work Setup & Interview: Availability for a Hybrid work schedule in Indianapolis, IN 46225 and participation in a Microsoft Teams video interview.
