Job summary

Aquent is seeking a skilled SAP technologist to design, develop, and deploy robust SAP solutions in a global rollout. You will work across ABAP, Fiori, UI5, and OData, building cloud-native applications on SAP BTP while collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize core business processes.

The role focuses on integrations, upgrades, and migrations in S/4HANA environments, ensuring documentation and best practices are followed to support enterprise operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our dynamic finance IT organization. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust SAP solutions, playing a key part in a global SAP rollout initiative. You will leverage the latest SAP technologies to create innovative enhancements, customizations, and integrations, directly contributing to the modernization of our core business processes. What You’ll Do

• Participate in the complete lifecycle of SAP projects, from initial requirement gathering and analysis through to successful go‑live and ongoing post‑implementation support.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP solutions, including critical enhancements, customizations, and integrations utilizing SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other advanced SAP technologies such as CAP and HANA Cloud.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams, project managers, and various stakeholders to thoroughly understand business needs and translate them into effective, high‑quality technical solutions.
• Adhere to Clean Core guiding principles, developing and adapting cloud‑based applications using SAP Cloud Platform tools and technologies, fostering a cloud‑first mindset.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

• At least 5-7 years of dedicated SAP experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including RESTful programming, CDS, and modern extensibility techniques.
• Strong experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData services.
• Knowledge of key SAP modules such as SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, or others.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP tools and services, including SAP Build Work Zone, Business Application Studio, and GIT.
• Proven experience developing cloud‑based applications on the SAP BTP platform.
• Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments, including S/4HANA upgrades and ECC to S/4HANA migrations with code remediation.
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform, RISE, and SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Expertise in SAP, API, and BTP technologies.
• Strong command of ABAP programming.
• Extensive SAP Development experience.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Certification in SAP technologies.
