We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Commerce Technical Architect to lead end‑to‑end architecture and technical delivery for enterprise‑scale digital commerce platforms across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C models. This role will own solution design across the full SAP Commerce stack—including storefront, OCC APIs, backend services, integrations, and cloud infrastructure (CCV2)—while driving engineering excellence, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. The architect will act as a technical leader, client‑facing advisor, and delivery owner, guiding cross‑functional teams and ensuring high‑quality execution across global commerce programs.
- SAP Commerce Cloud (CCV2)
- SAP Commerce Platform & Core
- Java (JDK 11/17/21) & Spring Framework
- OCC APIs, REST/SOAP integrations
- Spartacus / Composable Storefront or Accelerator (JSP)
- Microservices & event‑driven architecture
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Cloud platforms (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Solr, caching strategies (e.g., Redis)
- Integration with ERP, CRM, and third‑party systems
- SAP CX ecosystem (CDC, Emarsys, CPQ)
- Experience with PIM, OMS, CMS platforms
- Exposure to headless / composable commerce architectures
- SAP Certified Development Professional – SAP Commerce
- SAP Certified Professional – SAP Commerce Cloud
- Define and own end‑to‑end SAP Commerce architecture across storefront, backend, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure
- Lead solution design for Spartacus (Composable Storefront) or Accelerator‑based implementations
- Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and governance frameworks
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and code quality assessments
- Drive technology roadmap and upgrade strategy (e.g., JDK migration, platform upgrades)
- Oversee technical delivery across multiple workstreams and distributed teams
- Lead effort estimation, sprint planning, and technical milestone tracking
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring timely resolution
- Ensure delivery quality via peer reviews, definition of done, and CI/CD governance
- Architect integrations with SAP S/4HANA/ECC, SAP CX suite, CMS, PIM, OMS, payment gateways, and third‑party systems
- Define and govern OCC API strategies, REST/SOAP services, and microservices architecture
- Design event‑driven and scalable integration patterns
- Lead cloud architecture across SAP Commerce Cloud CCV2 and hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP/BTP)
- Drive performance engineering, including Solr optimization, caching strategies (Redis), and load testing
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of commerce platforms
- Enforce security, observability, and compliance standards
- Mentor engineers, technical leads, and solution designers
- Act as primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and architecture boards
- Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support pre‑sales activities, including RFPs and solution design workshops
- 11–14 years of IT experience with deep expertise in SAP Commerce architecture and delivery
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, and SAP Commerce Cloud platform
- Proven delivery experience in SAP Commerce Cloud CCV2 environments and DevOps pipelines
- Experience with Spartacus/Composable Storefront or Accelerator‑based implementations
- Deep understanding of OCC APIs, integrations, and microservices architecture
- Expertise in performance tuning, caching (Solr/Redis), and scalability engineering
- Strong experience with enterprise system integrations and cloud platforms
- Excellent communication, client‑facing, and stakeholder management skills
