Job summary

Benjamin Moore seeks a senior SAP Basis Administrator to ensure stability, upgrades, and performance of SAP ECC/S/4HANA systems across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will lead upgrades, manage HANA components, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors on rollouts and fixes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of SAP Basis experience with ECC, S/4HANA, BI, GRC, FIORI, and NW technologies.
• Experience managing SAP ERP systems in hyperscaler clouds (SAP RISE).
• Strong Linux (SLES/RHEL) and Windows fundamentals and certificate handling.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery and HA/DR planning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stability, reliability, and timely upgrades of SAP ERP systems hosted on SAP RISE and Hyperscaler cloud platforms.
• Provide day-to-day support for SAP ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, BW/BPC, GRC, Fiori, MDG, EWM/TM, PO, Solution Manager, ChaRM, and HANA DB.
• Execute operational tasks including transport management, system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and error resolution.
• Maintain multiple SAP instances across development, test, training, and production environments.
• Design and implement optimal SAP configurations to maximize system performance and availability.
• Install, configure, and manage SAP application servers, databases (HANA, SAP IQ, Sybase ASE), and web dispatchers in cloud environments.
• Lead SAP system upgrades, kernel patches, support packages, and enhancement packs.
• Architect and implement HANA 2.0 table partitioning strategies and optimize expensive SQL statements.
• Administer HANA XS/XSA applications and manage load balancers and application security.
• Establish and enforce SAP security processes and governance across ECC, HANA, Fiori, Solution Manager, CHaRM, and Portal.
• Implement SAP HANA database encryption and manage certificates and keys.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support rollouts, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior team members and guide technical decisions.
• Drive automation of SAP Basis activities.
• Maintain architecture documentation and runbooks for infrastructure and networking components.
• Troubleshoot issues with job scheduling, transport management, and printer administration.
• Execute Transport and Correction procedural standards in compliance with Change Control Board requirements.
• Provide updates on forecasts and developments in SAP technology.
• Perform pre- and post-system copy procedures in multi-application SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Resolve SAP application network issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor SAP systems for performance and health.

Qualifications

• SAP Basis Administrator with 12+ years' experience with SAP Enterprise Components (ECC), SAP S/4HANA, Business Intelligence (BI), SAP Enterprise Portals, Process Integration (PI) /Process Orchestration, Business Objects (BOBJ), BODS, Business Warehouse (BW) Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), FIORI, Solution Manager 7.2 and NetWeaver technologies.
• Experience in managing the SAP ERP Systems including S/4HANA in hyperscaler clouds (SAP RISE).
• Expertise in NetWeaver ABAP/JAVA Admin and SAP HANA Basis and Certificate handling.
• Experience in System Integration and Interfaces.
• Experience developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Deep understanding of HANA architecture and hands-on experience in HA/DR, HSR, MDC, and its operational and support aspects.
• Experience in HANA database Diagnostics files, thread dump analysis, CPU and memory optimizations, Cluster configuration, Scale-out architecture.
• SAP Application performance optimizations - Work process utilization, Enqueue analysis.
• Good understanding of critical HANA parameters and impact.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of technical experience utilizing SAP Basis is required.
• A bachelor's degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Must have a strong technical foundation and strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge in Linux (SLES and RHEL) and Windows operating systems.
