Job summary

CAI is seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst to advance a large-scale SAP environment for a water utility client. This is a full-time contract and remote role, requiring deep ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and S/4HANA expertise.

You will design, develop, and support ABAP solutions, CDS data models, and RAP/OData services while applying ATC and TDD practices to ensure clean-core governance and reliable delivery. Join CAI’s global team and impact critical infrastructure systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as an SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst with knowledge of water utility processes.
• Strong experience writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ABAP code.
• Experience with SAP Core Data Services (CDS).

• Hands-on ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and clean-core governance.
• Experience developing and executing ABAP Unit Tests.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for an SAP Business Analyst to support a large-scale SAP environment for our client. This position will be a full-time contract and remote.

What You'll Do

• Analyze, document, and support SAP S/4HANA business processes, with an emphasis on water utility operations
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot modern ABAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments
• Create and enhance SAP Core Data Services (CDS) views and data models
• Develop and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and SAP HANA-based solutions
• Configure and utilize ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) to support clean-core initiatives and govern custom developments
• Develop and execute ABAP Unit Tests to validate functionality, business events, and application behavior
• Perform security analysis and vulnerability assessments using Code Vulnerability Analyzer (CVA)
• Utilize ABAP Development Tools (ADT) within Eclipse for development in ABAP Cloud environments
• Assess and analyze custom code using SAP Analyze Custom Code tools to support migration and modernization efforts
• Develop OData services and business applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Apply Test‑Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to improve code quality and solution reliability
• Design, support, and troubleshoot SAP S/4HANA integrations, including existing PCU interfaces and SAP APIs.
• Develop reporting and analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
• Convert and modernize legacy SAP SQVI queries into SAP Analytics Cloud reporting solutions
• Leverage SAP Datasphere APIs to support enterprise data integration and external system consumption

What You'll Need

Required:

• Experience as an SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst with knowledge of water utility business processes and operations
• Strong experience writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting modern ABAP code
• Experience developing and working with SAP Core Data Services (CDS)
• Proficiency with SAP Fiori/UI5 application development and SAP HANA technologies
• Hands‑on experience with ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), including clean-core governance and custom code analysis
• Experience developing and executing ABAP Unit Tests
• Experience utilizing Code Vulnerability Analyzer (CVA) for ABAP security assessments
• Experience configuring and developing with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse
• Experience with SAP Analyze Custom Code tools and custom code remediation initiatives
• Experience using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Knowledge of Test‑Driven Development (TDD) practices
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA integrations and API development
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere
• Experience with SAP Datasphere APIs and enterprise data integration.

Preferred:

• Previous experience supporting public sector or utility organizations.
• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA modernization and clean-core transformation initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring technical and functional SAP team members

Physical Demands

$70-$80 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
