Position

SAP BO Admin (Contract)

Location

Irving, TX – Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x) and SAP BODS environments.
• Administer CMC, manage users, groups, roles, and access levels.
• Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Manage BO/DS services.
• Manage authentication (AD, Enterprise); provision users and map AD groups to BO roles; ensure role‑based access and compliance with security standards.
• Monitor BO performance and troubleshoot issues related to WebI, scheduling, and report execution.
• Weekend maintenance activities including cache cleanup, server restarts, and rolling restarts as needed.
• Analyze logs and work with SAP support to resolve incidents.
• Manage report scheduling and bursting (InfoBurst or native BO); troubleshoot failed schedules and performance issues; monitor job queues and system capacity.
• Support incidents, service requests, and problem management; participate in change management (CRs, RITMs) and production deployments; coordinate with Basis, DB, OS, Network, and WAF teams.
• Perform routine maintenance activities (patching support, upgrades, DR testing); support QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation; ensure platform compliance with audit and security requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x.
• Hands‑on experience with BO server and BODS Server architecture and services.
• Knowledge of authentication methods (AD).
• Experience with scheduling, publications, and report bursting.
• Working knowledge of Windows.
• Basic understanding of databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Proficiency with SAP BO CMC, Web Intelligence, InfoBurst, SAP Data Services, DSMC.
• Awareness of WAF / Load Balancer.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
